Welcome to part 3 of my How to have a successful business - 5 part blueprint!
There are 2 very crucial factors in having a successful business that can keep you from succeeding. I blamed myself for allowing these two factors in my life and determine the way I would fail in this business and now I share these with you so that you can avoid the pitfall or know how to climb out of it and start succeeding.
I decided to include these two factors on Part 3, because if you can get over them,
then you will have no problem succeeding and since we all encounter road blocks along the road, knowing how to conquer them will make you an unstoppable warrior.
The two factors are forgiveness and frustration.
First lets talk about Forgiveness
If you have not been succeeding and you have had something that is preventing you from succeeding this can likely be a cause.
Holding a grudge or hating on someone or something whether it’s subconsciously or not can actually hurt you not only in business but in life.
Remember, it is not our fault that we were born in a bad environment, but it is up to us to get out of it when we are knowledgeable and move on to a more successful one.
IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY not to play the BLAME game.
I want you to do the following exercise;
Because some of you reading right now, have somebody who you haven’t forgiven, either someone or something or certain circumstances you just absolutely hate!
Now that you have that person, place or thing that just worked you the wrong way…
I want you to remember a time where you felt total forgiveness; I mean total forgiveness, it doesn’t matter if you were being forgiven or you were forgiving someone else.
Just remember that feeling and what it was like!
Now that you have that feeling of total gratefulness, relaxation, faith, peace inside and whatever else you felt I want to you remember that.
People always do their best, with the resources they have; even when it seems that they are not doing the right thing.
Remember, They are doing their best with the resources they have!
Now imagine that person, place or thing
know that they did the best they could with what resources they had.
That place you were in was like that because you did the best you could with the resources that you had.
Forgive that person and or yourself!
Now, we know they or you were lacking the resources to make that experience a better one.
Now give that person place or situation the right resources you feel would have made the situation better.
Give them the missing resource.
- Imagine how that person would be!
- How they would have acted and how they would have treated you?
- How you would have acted had you had those resources?
Feels great doesn’t it!
Here is my experience,
I remember in a past company my wife and I were in, there was a top earner who told us to get in with them in the company and they would provide leads and customer for us while we learned internet marketing. Let me just say, that never EVER happened. There was a lot of mislead trainings we went to where she would say, oh this is how I made 10k per month and it was just a basic presentation and we would tell her, but on your email you said you were going to do a b and C.
She did a lot of unethical things and in the end, it came up to a phone argument and everyone parted ways.
I was sad and felt it could have been a great relationship and now it had gone the drain. I was tired of hype and was not about to do those unethical things to my down line and surely would never bring in anyone else with mis-guidance or any hype.
Once I learned that if she had better resources and training, we would have gotten along just fine in future businesses.
I forgave her and her man in that very moment.
Life is to precious to hold a grudge or keep thinking negative things.
When I thought about me and the resources I lacked, I decided to apply the same strategy, how could I have made things better and it was then that I had realized…
I realized that if i wanted to have a successful business. I had to know:
- It was up to me to succeed or fail.
- It was up to me to learn how to properly market, motivate and educate people.
- It was nobody else responsibility to give me leads, customers or any special training.
It was ME who had to look, learn and apply!
This is why I chose to blog.
I chose to teach the right people. I stopped looking for everyone and started to attract people like you, who genuinely want to succeed and are now here looking for those resources.
Also remember, that when you are locked in the past; then how can you get to a new and better future.
Sometimes, businesses fail, sometimes you lose people, sometimes someone you love keeps hurting you.
Just remember this!
As you step into the future, you will continue to see things change for the better based on how we act.
This leads me to the next success killer and that is Frustration!
What causes frustration, rather than faith?
It’s believing in something that isn’t there yet.
Sometimes it can be more difficult to believe in something that hasn’t happened yet, especially if what you are doing isn’t working quite as you expected it too yet.
Ex. You sponsor 1 person, but you wanted to sponsor 2 people and it’s already been six months.
Sometimes you focus on that!
Let me tell you this,
If you focus on the past it keeps you locked in the past, but you can also focus on a new future. It’s your choice and it’s that simple!
See, if you keep blaming someone for your lack of success or have a grudge on your circumstances; your mind keeps going to the past…
My current business mentor once told us this in a company training:
‘…by going to the past, you keep focusing on the problem, and if you focused on the problem, you stay stuck in the problem’
Focus on the future and solutions…
Frustration is not useful.
Like the bible says ‘Where there is no vision you perish!’
